Meet the Team

Dr. Christopher Meyer was born and raised in Mantua Township and is a proud graduate of Crestwood High School, Class of 1982. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1988.

Following graduation, Dr. Meyer joined the Department of Ophthalmology at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic, where he quickly distinguished himself and was appointed Chief of Optometric Services and Director of Contact Lens Services. After several years of leadership and clinical experience in a world-class medical environment, Dr. Meyer made the decision to return home. In 1994, he established The Mantua Eye Center with the goal of delivering the same high standard of ophthalmic care to the community where he grew up.

Drawing on his extensive training in a subspecialty ophthalmologic setting, Dr. Meyer provides comprehensive eye care, including the diagnosis and management of cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, keratoconus, and ocular infections. He also offers routine eye examinations for eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring that patients receive the most thorough and personalized care available.

Dr. Meyer remains committed to bringing advanced, compassionate, and individualized eye care to the people of Mantua and the surrounding communities.

Beth began her career at the Cleveland Clinic Department of Ophthalmology, where she held a variety of roles including appointment secretary, contact lens service coordinator, administrative assistant, and optician. This diverse background gave her a strong foundation in both clinical and administrative aspects of eye care.

In 1996, Beth joined The Mantua Eye Center and has been managing the office ever since.  She became a licensed Optician in 2006.  Beth is often the first person you'll speak with when you call or visit the office. With her extensive experience and warm, knowledgeable approach, she can assist you with everything from navigating your insurance to selecting, fitting, and adjusting your eyewear. Her attention to detail and commitment to patient satisfaction are a big part of what makes our practice feel personal and welcoming.

Christine has been an essential part of The Mantua Eye Center since its founding in 1994. She became a licensed optician in 1999 and brings decades of experience and precision to her role.

Christine is responsible for selecting, manufacturing, and dispensing your eyeglasses, as well as performing much of the ophthalmic pretesting during your visit. Her unwavering commitment to optical accuracy and her high standards for craftsmanship ensure that every pair of glasses meets exacting specifications.
